Twin Calf Clones

Two special calves were born in Tokyo on Sunday. They were
the first clones from the cells of an adult cow. The twin
calf clones, which are unnamed, were born exactly two years
after Dolly, the sheep clone, was born. |

and Lady
Date: November 25, 1999.
In New Zealand, scientists produced Elsie, the world's second
cow clone. The cow was cloned from Lady. Her breed is only
located in one of the Auckland Islands, which is about 400
kilometers south of New Zealand. |

Piglet Clones
Date: March 15, 2000.
The company that produced Dolly the sheep clone later produced
five little piglets, which are the world's first pig clones.
The birth of the piglets raise hopes for a new source of
transplants for humans. |
